Probot

Para mi El Imperio Contraataca siempre será la mejor película de la saga. Se que hay gente que no piensa así y la verdad es que me da lo mismo. No pienso discutir sobre este tema porque a fin de cuentas es cuestión de opiniones, y como los culos, cada uno tenemos el nuestro.  Al principio de la película vemos como el Imperio siembra de sondas el espacio buscando la base rebelde. Daiman nos muestra una de esas sondas robóticas tal y como pudimos observarla en la película antes de que Han y su peludo amigo la destruyera. Para mi la mejor versión de la sonda hasta ahora.

For me The Empire Strikes Back will always be the best movie of the saga. I know there are people who don’t think like that and the truth is that I don’t care. I don’t intend to discuss this issue because ultimately it is a question of opinions, and like the asses, we each have ours. At the beginning of the film we see how the Empire sows space with probes seeking the rebel base. Daiman shows us one of those robotic probes as we could see in the movie before Han and his furry friend destroyed it. For me the best version of the probe so far.

Scavenging The Destroyer

Hoy es el día de Star Wars, el famoso May the Forth, e internet está lleno de homenajes a este mito cultural. La comunidad LEGO no podía ser menos, así que toda la red está llena de creaciones relacionadas con la franquicia. Entre ellas, esta creación de Grant Davis (en colaboración con Eli Willsea) ha llamado mi atención. Las proporciones de la construcción, el cuidado en el detalle y la fantástica iluminación hacen de esta escena algo increíble.

Today is the day of Star Wars, the famous May the Forth, and the internet is full of tributes to this cultural myth. The LEGO community could not be less, so the entire network is full of creations related to the franchise. Among them, this creation of Grant Davis (in collaboration with Eli Willsea) has caught my attention. The proportions of the construction, the attention to detail and the fantastic lighting make this scene incredible.

Millenium Falcon Mini

Desde que se supo que habría una película sobre la historia de Han Solo, todos rezábamos porque por fin puedieramos conocer cómo cruzaron sus vidas Han Solo, Chewbacca y el Halcón Milenario. En la red ha habido una explosión de versiones en escalas mini de una de las naves más famosas de todas las galaxias. No pude resistirme a construir la mia propia. Las 25 piezas más rápidas de la galaxia.

Since it became known that there would be a film about the history of Han Solo, we all prayed that we could finally know how Han Solo, Chewbacca and the Millennium Falcon crossed their lives. In the network there has been an explosion of versions in mini scales of one of the most famous ships of all the galaxies. I could not resist to build my own. The 25 fastest parts in the galaxy.

Como fan de Star Wars(TM) solo puedo decir una cosa ante la creación de NS Brick Designs. Quiero un de esas. Uno de los blasters más famosos de la galaxia no podía escapar a los fans de LEGO Star Wars. Si LEGO(R) se decidiera por hacer una colección de sets de armas de SW estoy seguro que seria un éxito total. Por ahora tenemos que babear ante creaciones como esta. No se si lo he dicho ya, quiero una de esas.

As a Star Wars(TM) fan I can only say one thing about the creation of NS Brick Designs. I want one of those. One of the most famous blasters in the galaxy could not escape the LEGO Star Wars fans. If LEGO(R) decided to make a collection of SW weapons sets I'm sure it would be a total success. For now we have to drool over creations like this. I do not know if I've said it already, I want one of those.

Falcon Mods

Ya hemos hablado anteriormente del trabajo de Vesa Lehtimäki (aka Avanaut). La calidad de su trabajo fotográfico está dentro de lo que a mi me gustaría ver en un museo o exposición. En su último trabajo saca provecho de la escala del Halcón Milenario UCS para poner en situación a Han Solo y Chewbacca mientras hacen alguna nueva chapuza en el Halcón. La iluminación del interior de la nave, el ligero contraluz junto con una suave niebla, dan a la escena una atmósfera increíble. Espectacular.

We have already talked about the work of Vesa Lehtimäki (aka Avanaut). The quality of his photographic work is within what I would like to see in a museum or exhibition. In his latest work, he takes advantage of the scale of the UCS Millennium Falcon to put Han Solo and Chewbacca doing some new fudge on the Falcon. The illumination of the interior of the ship, the light backlight along with a soft fog, give the scene an incredible atmosphere. Spectacular.

Grand Admiral Thrawn

Ayer terminé de ver los últimos episodios de Star Wars Rebels. He de decir que he disfrutado más con las series de animación The Clone Wars y Star Wars Rebels que con las nuevas películas. Sobretodo me ha sorprendido esta última, con una historia original y protagonistas distintos de los personajes más históricos de la franquicia. Una pena que hayan decidido que esta sea la última temporada. Uno de los personajes más carismáticos ha sido, como no, uno de los chicos malos. El Gran Almirante Thrawn ha resultado ser uno de los personajes mejor desarrollados durante la serie y verlo en esta fantástica escena de Ben Cossy me ha dado la excusa perfecta para un pequeño recuerdo homenaje a la serie.

Yesterday I finished watching the latest episodes of Star Wars Rebels. I have to say that I have enjoyed more the animated series The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels than the new movies. Above all I was surprised by the latter, with an original story and different protagonists of the most historical characters of the franchise. A pity they have decided that this is the last season. One of the most charismatic characters has been, of course, one of the bad guys. Grand Admiral Thrawn has turned out to be one of the best-developed characters during the series and seeing him in this fantastic Ben Cossy’s scene has given me the perfect excuse for a small memory/tribute to the series.

Walker

Cuando se trata de AT-ATs los aficionados siempre han reclamado una versión UCS a verdadera escala minifig, y la red está llena de increíbles versiones intentando siempre mejorar las versiones de los sets oficiales. Sin embargo esta versión por Tim Goddard es a una escala menor y resulta asombroso el nivel de detalle que ha conseguido. El panelado, las patas,..., todo parece fluir hasta dar como resultado una fantástica versión del famoso caminante de Hoth.

When it comes to AT-ATs models, fans have always claimed a UCS version on a real minifig scale, and the network is full of incredible versions always trying to improve the versions of the official sets. However, this version by Tim Goddard is on a smaller scale and it is amazing how much detail he has achieved. The paneling, the legs, ... everything seems to flow until it results in a fantastic version of the famous Hoth walker.

Death Trooper

No soy fan de las figuras articuladas que LEGO(R) ha lanzado últimamente con personajes de superhéroes y STAR WARS(TM), pero la verdad es cuando veo el fantástico trabajo de nobu_tary mi fe comienza a tambalearse. He tenido que fijarme bien en los detalles para confirmar que era LEGO. Así es como debería lucir una figura articulada de LEGO.

I'm not a fan of the articulated figures that LEGO(R) has released lately with superhero and STAR WARS(TM) characters, but the truth is when I see the fantastic work of nobu_tary my faith begins to falter. I had to pay attention to the details to confirm that it was LEGO. This is what an articulated LEGO figure should look like.
