Orchid

Construir flores con LEGO parece algo natural ahora que abundan las piezas curvas y los colores brillantes. De todas formas recrearlas fielmente tanto en forma como en escala es un arte. Y no digamos si además estamos hablando de las delicadas orquideas. Yo lo intenté una vez y la verdad es que fue un intento bastante patético, más ahora que he visto esta maravilla por James zhan.

Building flowers with LEGO seems natural now that curved parts and bright colors abound. In any case, faithfully recreate them both in form and scale is an art. And let's not say if we are talking about the delicate orchids. I tried it once and the truth is that it was a very pathetic attempt, more now that I have seen this wonder by James zhan.

Kenworth T600

Cada nueva creación de Sariel es un reto para reunir el mayor número de funciones dentro de un envoltorio lo más parecido a la realidad posible. Y aunque estemos acostumbrados a su capacidad de motorizar funciones dentro de sus modelos, hasta a nosotros nos ha dejado sorprendido este Kenworth T600. Es toda una maravilla tecnológica.

Each new creation of Sariel is a challenge to gather as many functions within a package as close to reality as possible. And although we are used to his ability to motorize functions within their models, even this Kenworth T600 has surprised us. It's all a technological marvel.

The Tale of the Three Brothers

Como fan de Harry Potter, siempre es un placer poder admirar creaciones basadas en la saga. En este caso no aparece Harry Potter, ni Lord Voldemort, ni Dumbledore,... esta escena hace referencia a una historia dentro de la historia, donde nos cuentan sobre el origen de algunos de los artefactos mágicos más poderosos de la saga. Aaron Newman nos presenta la escena como sacada de un teatro de sombras, donde los,personajes principales en blanco y negro contrastan con las notas de color del paisaje. La figura de la muerte muestra lo justo bajo su capa para hacerla temible y misteriosa. Fantástica.

As a Harry Potter fan, it's always a pleasure to be able to admire creations based on the saga. In this case in the scene does not appear Harry Potter, or Lord Voldemort, or Dumbledore, ... this time it refers to a story inside the story, where it tell us about the origin of some of the most powerful magical artifacts in the saga. Aaron Newman presents the scene as taken from a shadow theater, where the main characters in black and white contrast with the color notes of the landscape. The figure of death shows under his cloak just enough details to make it fearsome and mysterious. Fantastic.

Falcon Mods

Ya hemos hablado anteriormente del trabajo de Vesa Lehtimäki (aka Avanaut). La calidad de su trabajo fotográfico está dentro de lo que a mi me gustaría ver en un museo o exposición. En su último trabajo saca provecho de la escala del Halcón Milenario UCS para poner en situación a Han Solo y Chewbacca mientras hacen alguna nueva chapuza en el Halcón. La iluminación del interior de la nave, el ligero contraluz junto con una suave niebla, dan a la escena una atmósfera increíble. Espectacular.

We have already talked about the work of Vesa Lehtimäki (aka Avanaut). The quality of his photographic work is within what I would like to see in a museum or exhibition. In his latest work, he takes advantage of the scale of the UCS Millennium Falcon to put Han Solo and Chewbacca doing some new fudge on the Falcon. The illumination of the interior of the ship, the light backlight along with a soft fog, give the scene an incredible atmosphere. Spectacular.

Microcastle

Y por supuesto, de algo muy grande pasamos a algo muy pequeño. Pero como veréis por la imagen, este castillo en escala micro tiene el mismo mérito que cualquier castillo de escala mayor, o incluso más, porque la belleza y calidad en el detalle que consigue Dwaling Forkbeard en esta creación me deja maravillado.

And of course, from something very big we turn to something very small. But as you can see from the image, this castle on a micro scale has the same merit as any castle of greater scale, or even more, because the beauty and quality in detail that Dwaling Forkbeard achieves in his creation leaves me amazed.

London

Hay construcciones que despiertan en mi admiración y otras que despiertan envidia (envidia sana, por supuesto). Muchas veces siento las dos cosas juntas. En este fantástico paisaje de Londres, obra de Rocco Buttliere la admiración por la calidad de su trabajo deja un hueco a la envidia por tener los recursos y el espacio para realizar una obra tan colosal. Un trabajo increíble, os recomiendo ver todas las fotos.

There are constructions that awaken in me admiration and others that awaken envy (healthy envy, of course). Many times I feel the two things together. In this fantastic landscape of London, by Rocco Buttliere, the admiration for the quality of his work leaves a gap to the envy for having the resources and space to perform such a colossal work.
